Copper types

For our very thin foils we have to use selected high purity.

ETP-Copper
(DIN: E-Cu58 ; UNS: C11000 ; BS: CW 004A (C 101) ; ISO: Cu-ETP ; material-no. 2.0065)
Copper with a controlled low oxygen content and an elctrical conductivity in the annealed temper of 100 % IACS minimum.

SE-Copper
(DIN: SE-Cu ; UNS OF/C 10300 ; BS: CW 023A/CW 008A (C 103) ;
ISO: Cu-OF ; material-no. 2.0070)
Oxygen-free copper deoxidized with phosphorus; with an electrical conductivity in the annealed temper of 100 % IACS minimum.

OF-Copper
(DIN: OF-Cu ; UNS: C10100 Oxygen-Free-Electronic OFE ; BS: CW 008 A (C110) ; ISO: Cu-OF ; material no. 20040)
Oxygen-free high conductivity copper with an electrical conductivity, in the annealed condition, of 101 % IACS (58.0 m/Ohm mm²). Copper type with excellent brazing and good welding properties.

CuZn0.5
(DIN: CuZn0.5 ; material-no. 2.0205)
Oxygen-free copper deoxidized with zinc; with an electrical conductivity in the annealed temper of 87 % IACS minimum. Excellent deep-draw properties.

C155
(UNS: C 15500)
A type of copper with a special chemical composition.
High thermal and oxidation stability.
Maximum conductivity combined with medium strength.

Other copper types
Are possible on request, assuming there is sufficient demand.

Our foils are produced on coil.
Most dimensions are also available as sheet, cut to length, not levelled.
Narrow slit dimensions, mainly in widths below 8 mm (0.32") are available in pancake coils or on traverse wound spools.


Tempers

We are in a position to produce a wide range of tempers depending on thickness and quantitiy requested. Typical tempers are soft annealed and hard as rolled.


Surface finish and up-grading

We offer additional surface finishing such as tin cladding, relfow-tinning, hot dip tinning, silvering, alu-plating and nickel-plating.
We can adjust the appearance of our foil surfaces from matt to very shiny.
For the printed circuit industry and for battery producers we offer our copper foils with a special Cu-treatment acc. to standard IPC 4562.


Applications

Some typical applications for our foils are:
RF / EMI shielding foils, telecommunication cables, antenna cables, data cables, special cables, batteries, transformers, capacitors, fuses, photovoltaic solar modules, Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), Lamination, Flexible Flat Cables (FFC), heat exchangers and many, many other applications.
